And with that coming into play, the company has to make a decision at that point as to whether or not they want to spend a metric ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of money on a game that could or could not do well. And I'm saying it probably wont because BfBB Rehydrated wasn't as well received as anticipated by most players and people like me who played the OG version, want that nostalgic feeling again.

That same engine would be used for a Movie remake IF it were to happen. It's running on an entirely different engine, UE4, which is much more modern and suitable for any and all kinds of games today. What you're looking at, with BfBB Rehydrated, is a REMAKE. SpongeBob SquarePants for the 27th consecutive time In honor of this momentous occasion, Mr, Krabs has generously given SpongeBob tickets to the greatest amusement park ever built under the ocean.

Renderware was the original engine used for Movie and BfBB and like I said in other posts and I believe in my review for this game, are outdated beyond use. spongebob still is a very cool icon for ppl It doesn't matter if they use the same engine. Plus CARTOON PS2 platformers are dying and are IN NEED OF A COMEBACK. spongebob still is a very cool icon for ppl posted about bfbb and movie game and again i said they both use the same engine. But if the game is not going to do well, why would they do it? Otherwise what was the point of pushing out that game? Unless THQ Nordic made back all the money they spent to make that game, FOLLOWED by profit, I bet they would have absolutely no problem remaking movie. Of course they wanna make a great game but they also need to earn that monetary value back. Gotta understand that THQ Nordic is a company. Sales on the game were not as good as they were anticipating and it was rushed in one way or another, so Movie is also probably out of the question considering the sales for the original game was worse than sales for the OG BfBB. We've heard absolutely no response from THQ Nordic about any future Spongebob games and they have basically concluded updates for BfBB Rehydrated. Spongebob is probably not gonna be getting anymore games. Originally posted by DaBlueWolf:I'mma keep it real with you, man.
